Applicable Product Examples
Document correction is common for categories such as electronic appliances, toys, apparel, household goods, and beauty/personal care on the TEMU platform. The following list is not applicable to all products; sellers should prepare corresponding documents based on the specific product category and platform correction notice.
What Documents May Be Needed
TEMU document correction may require sellers to provide business qualifications, product information, labels and instructions, product photos, and existing compliance documents. It is recommended to check each category below to ensure documents are clear, complete, and consistent.
Business Documents
Common items may include: business license (clear color scan), front and back of legal representative ID, business contact information (email, phone), and export qualifications (if applicable). If the product is manufactured by a third party, a commission processing agreement and the manufacturer’s business license may also be requested. For overseas-registered companies, local registration certificates and translations may be required.
Product Information
May include: product name, model, brand, material composition sheet (e.g., for textiles or plastics), intended use, applicable age (e.g., for toys), electrical parameters (e.g., for electronics), and chemical substance information (e.g., for applicable compliance-related requirements). Some products may require an instruction manual (including safety and usage instructions).
Labels, Instructions, and Images
Labels should include brand, product name, model, manufacturer information, country of origin, warning statements (where applicable), and compliance marks (e.g., CE, UKCA, FCC – note that the need for notified body involvement depends on the product and applicable regulations). Images should clearly show the front, side, back, label details, and overall packaging. Instructions should be complete, including safety directions and declaration of conformity (where applicable).
Reusing Existing Reports
If existing test reports or certificates are available (e.g., product certificates, SDS/MSDS, chemical compliance reports, etc.), confirm that the product information on the report matches the product under correction and that the regulatory scope aligns with platform requirements. Note that reports have no fixed validity period; their usability depends on product changes, regulatory updates, and platform rules. Some reports may only cover specific testing standards, and manual verification against the correction notice is recommended.
Additionally, FEI numbers are typically used for FDA facility identification and do not replace test reports. For CE routes, involvement of a notified body depends on the applicable regulation. For FCC, the path may be either Certification (requiring a TCB) or SDoC depending on the equipment type.
Common Document Gaps
Based on common correction cases, the following items are often missing:
- Product labels not including all legally required information (e.g., country of origin, warnings)
- Instruction manuals lacking safety instructions or compliance statements
- Test report model number not matching the actual product model
- Legal representative ID expired in business documents
- Low-resolution images or images not showing key details (labels, plugs, interfaces)
- Missing compliance evidence for raw materials or components (e.g., UN38.3 for lithium batteries)
Pre-Submission Check Suggestions
Before uploading:
- Check each item listed in the correction notice; prepare all required documents
- Ensure all documents are in Chinese or accompanied by an official translation (TEMU platform may require Chinese)
- Compress into a zip file or upload in the format specified by the platform
- Keep original test reports and technical files for future review
- If in doubt about correction requirements, consult platform customer service or engage a professional agency to review document completeness
Common Misconceptions
Misconception 1: Believing that one test report covers all platform requirements. In reality, different products involve different regulations; the testing scope must match the product characteristics, target market, and platform rules.
Misconception 2: Believing that submitting documents guarantees approval. The platform retains the final review authority; document correction may involve multiple rounds, and first-round rejection does not necessarily mean the product is unsellable.
Misconception 3: Neglecting label and instruction compliance. Many correction requirements involve legally mandated information on product labels and instructions, such as warnings, compliance marks, and manufacturer details. Missing or incorrect content often leads to rejection.

Pre-Submission Checklist
- Report or certificate number

Public verification results are for document status checking only. Platform review outcomes depend on product information, applicable requirements and the platform review process.
Article FAQ
Does TEMU document correction require Chinese versions of test reports?
A reviewed translation or a translation prepared by a qualified service provider is usually safer when the platform questions document language. The platform keeps the final review authority.
Can a children product documentation certificate be used directly for TEMU document correction?
A children product documentation (Children's Product Certificate) is commonly used for children's products sold in the U.S. market.
Can I submit a test report with a model number different from the actual product?
It is usually not advisable to submit a report with a model number that does not match the product. If the model numbers differ, the platform may reject the submission as non-conforming. It is advised to verify that the report model covers the product. If a product upgrade causes a model change, new testing or a difference statement may be needed, but final acceptance is at the platform's discretion.
